BENGHAZI, Libya  - Libya's El Sharara oilfield is pumping around 270,000 barrels a day (bpd) and may add another 20,000 bpd after maintenance on wells has been completed, a field engineer said on Tuesday.

The field reopened this month after it was shut down in December after state guards and tribesmen seized it.
