KUWAIT - Ten members of Kuwait's parliament submitted a motion to hold a no-confidence vote on the minister of oil, electricity and water following a questioning over his management of the oil portfolio, state news agency KUNA reported on Tuesday.

The earliest the vote can be held is after one week.

Bakhit al-Rashidi took over the post in the Gulf Arab state last December in a cabinet reshuffle after the previous cabinet resigned when its information minister was questioned by parliament.

Kuwait, a major OPEC producer, has the oldest legislature among the Gulf Arab states and experiences frequent cabinet reshuffles.
