Kuwait will soon invite bids for the construction of its first used car action market as a joint venture with the private sector, a local newspaper said on Sunday.

The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP), which aims to promote joint public-private sector ventures in the OPEC member, will issue tenders for the project, located in Arifjan South of the capital Kuwait City, the Arabic language daily Alanba said, quoting a KAPP statement.

The project, spread over 400,000 square metres, comprises auction rooms, auto service offices, used car exhibition halls and other facilities, it said.

"This project is part of KAPP's tenders plan for fiscal year 2019-2020 which also includes advisory services to support KAPP programmes and other projects."
