Kuwait Airways has launched its first commercial flight to Egypt's Cairo on Sunday after about a one-year suspension.

The Kuwaiti airline will operate two daily flights between Kuwait and Cairo starting from 5 September, according to a statement.

In August 2020, Kuwait banned commercial flights to 31 countries, including Egypt, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
