AMMAN — Organisers of the Jordan Hot Air Balloon Festival on Wednesday announced the first part of the event will be held between October 1 and 5 in the “Golden Triangle” area (Wadi Rum, Petra and Aqaba).

During a press conference, the festival management said that it will be the first in a series of hot air balloon festivals in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Samer Hammad, head of the Royal Jordanian Gliding Club, referred to the role of the club in offering community and tourist activities and encouraging entrepreneurship and youth in all fields of aviation.

Hussein Qudah, director of the festival, said that the event is planned to be held annually in the “Golden Triangle” area, which is considered “a COVID-19-free zone”.
