Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Petroleum Projects & Technical Consultations Company (Petrojet) is planning to launch a plant in Algeria to produce propane and butane to be used in the production of fuel and the supply of gas in Ouargla Province in Algeria.

The construction of the project is planned to commence in July and end within 21 months, head of Petrojet’s Algerian unit Mohammad Shafei stated on Tuesday, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

The project will be executed in collaboration with an Italian company and Algeria’s state-owned energy firm Sonatrach, Shafei added.

The top official revealed that Petrojet’s Algerian unit has cooperated in a group of tenders with Sonatrach since 2006.
