Kuwait - One of the main values that EQUATE, a global producer of petrochemicals, upholds is creating a safe and sound work culture and environment. In an effort to promote safety in the real world for the benefit of everyone living in Kuwait, EQUATE partnered with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) in the 34th Gulf Traffic Week Members of EQUATE and the MOI visited Al-Razi Orthopedic Hospital to promote traffic safety as well as safe and responsible driving in an aim to decrease roadside accidents.

EQUATE’s partnership in Gulf Traffic Week that was launched in Al-Shaheed Park on March 11, 2018, is part of EQUATE’s Sustainability Strategy that invests in initiatives to positively impact society and our shared environment. This particular initiative includes lectures on traffic safety. This was followed by a tour through Al-Razi’s wards where EQUATERs and MOI officials distributed gifts to the hospital’s patients. EQUATERs and officials from the MOI were joined by representatives from the Ministry of Health (MOH), local celebrities and social media influencers. As part of the partnership, EQUATE also supported the production of a video raising awareness about traffic laws and safe driving.

The visit was concluded by recognizing all participants in the initiative including Sheikha Awrad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, MOI’s Undersecretary Lieutenant-General Mahmoud Al-Dousari, MOI’s Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major-General Fahad Al-Shuwaie, Director of Mubarak Al-Kabeer’s Traffic Department and the campaign’s general coordinator Colonel Ibrahim Al-Jallal, Al-Razi’s Orthopedic Hospital Director Dr. Mona Abdulsamad, Orthopedic Specialist Dr. Fahad Al-Khalaf, Orthopedic Specialist Dr. Bader Al-Adwani, Orthopedic Specialist Dr. Saleh Al-Khaldi, Al-Razi’s Public Relations Manager Fahad Al-Saeed and Al-Razi’s Public Relations Deputy Manager Khalaf Al-Saeedi.

Recognitions were also extended to participating actors Abdulrahman Al-Aqul, Hayat Al-Fahad, Huda Hussain, Ibrahim Al-Sallal and Suad Abdullah. Soocial media influencers included Abdullah Al-Jasser also known as Abodka, Hamad Al-Ali known as Hamad Qalam, Meshari Bu Yabis, Meshari Al-Shallahi, Mohammad Sari Al-Mutairi, as well as the founder of London Kitchen Abdullah Al-Saeed.
