UAE – Mubasher: Dubai Industrial City (DIC) has signed a partnership agreement with China’s Baofeng Grain Mills for the building of a fresh rice noodle factory in the UAE.

Considered the first of its kind in the region, the new plant is set to commence operations shortly with a production capacity of 250,000 kilograms of fresh rice noodles per day, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

“China is an important trade partner of the UAE, and Chinese investment in the country is on the rise,” managing director of DIC Saud Abu Al-Shawareb said.

Baofeng Grain Mills has plans to expand distribution of its food products made in the UAE’s DIC in Africa and Europe.

“We are proud to welcome our new business partner Baofeng Grain Mills, reinforcing our commitment to developing Dubai’s industrial sector, particularly the manufacturing of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) that includes food production and is among the target sub-sectors of the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030,” Al-Shawareb commented.

Located near Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South, DIC offers a plethora of integrated solutions, including warehouses and showrooms, industrial land, open yards, offices, and labour villages.
