Bank Aljazira announced the launching of the new “Currency Card” that includes five currencies in one card; The US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, UAE Dirhams and Saudi riyals, and can be issued with a low credit limit where a customer can transfer money to the card easily and quickly at any time, through Aljazira Phone or Aljazira Online.
The new card enables Bank AlJazira customers to make purchases from different locations in different currencies, including exchange between currencies at competitive exchange rates or use the card seamlessly in shopping, travel, daily and online purchases. The card works like any other credit card, however, It is the customer who determines and controls on how much they spend by pre-depositing the amount in the card.
The card is accepted globally and offers Bank Al Jazira customers more convenience, control and security. Having this card makes the customer avoid carrying cash during his travels. The card is the perfect alternative for using cash in different places, with great security and ease of use in multiple financial transactions.
“The use of low credit currency card is one of the most advance financial transactions in the world today, this currency card of Bank Aljazira is not like the other cards issued in Saudi Riyals only” said Tamim Al-Qusair, Vice President and Head of Cards at Bank Aljazira. For example, a card holder can charge the currency card in US Dollars at a very competitive exchange rate and use the card in dollar purchases, deducted from the card account the same value and without any markup fees.
It is worth mentioning that the low credit currency card complies with Islamic Sharia and payment systems and accepted globally and has a high flexibility in the method of payment with the ease of recharging it through current account transfer and other channels, such as ATMs, Al Jazira Online, Al Jazira smart and Aljazira Phone.
The currency card is characterized by a fixed exchange rate for US dollar and at competitive exchange rates on other currencies. The card is available and can be ordered through AlJazira Online or Mobile Application, and without extra shipping charge.
