Dubai – The UAE-based Air Arabia has announced plans to purchase new aircraft this week during the Farnborough International Airshow 2018 held in the UK, CEO Adel Ali said.

The Dubai-listed airline is also discussing the possibility of buying Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 jets, Bloomberg reported, citing Ali as saying.

Since March, Air Arabia has been mulling over replacing engines of Boeing Max and New Airbus aircraft at a combined value of $11 billion, the CEO added, providing no further details on the number of planes that the carrier will buy.
