KUWAIT CITY: As people return to work after the Eid al-Adha holidays, Ministry of Electricity and Water has resumed work activities in an organized manner, with an employee attendance rate of 50 percent – the rate that conforms to the guidelines of the third stage of the government’s plan for return to normalcy and the decision issued by the Cabinet in this regard, reports Al-Rai daily.

Out of the approximately 22,000 employees in the ministry, nearly 10,000 of them resumed their usual work, adhering to the health precautionary measures such as social distancing, wearing face masks, and using sanitizers. About a thousand employees had called to be excused from going to work for various reasons.

Work resumed smoothly after Eid Al-Adha holidays, which could be because most of the employees did not travel overseas.
