The Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) and National Waste Management Centre have signed an agreement to activate and support waste management sector investment opportunities in the Kingdom, it was announced on Monday.

National Waste Management Centre is the regulatory body for waste management sector in the Kingdom.

The agreement will support local and foreign investments and activate circular investment opportunities across the waste management sector in Saudi Arabia, the investment ministry said through its Invest Saudi twitter account.

Saudi Arabia has set a target of diverting 85 percent of its total waste from landfills by 2035.
