Manama, Bahrain - Vatel hosted their first public lecture on Tourism and Real Estate Sector gaps and Investment Opportunities presented by Mr. Ali Murtaza - Director of Real Estate, Tourism and Leisure Investment Development at the Bahrain Economic Development Board. The lecture was attended by 40+ current Vatel students, prospective students and their parents, and esteemed guests from the hospitality sector in Bahrain.

The lecture highlighted how tourism and real estate-related investments are crucial elements of economic growth, the gaps and issues within the sector that need to be addressed and the particular advantages Bahrain can offer to tourism-based enterprises. In addition, the lecture shed light on some of the major projects and mega-developments in the pipeline that will create prospective job opportunities for Vatel’s students post attaining their degree. The session ended with a lively Q&A session where students had the opportunity to engage and exchange their views based on their current experiences.

Mr. Julien LISCOUET, General Director of Vatel school in Bahrain stated, “We want the students to connect with leaders in the industry such as Mr. Ali Murtaza from the EDB, and understand the importance of this sector, and their role within the different segments of tourism and real estate. The hospitality industry is growing, and will continue to grow and we need to ensure our students are aware of the changes so that they can be prepared to make a difference with the skills they will acquire from Vatel.”
