Amman, Jordan: As part of its strategy to continuously provide its clients  with the highest value-added services, Umniah has launched a cutting-edge virtual cloud-based computer service, which provides its corporate clients with a virtual working space that offers them more flexibility than the traditional computer work station.

This service, which is hosted by Umniah, provides users with a Windows operating system, a desktop, computer applications, and a management system for the information technology section simultaneously. Through the service, Umniah hosts and maintains all systems, including storage, infrastructure, and all necessary licensing, all for a competitive fixed monthly or annual fee.

Speaking about the launch of this latest service, Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara explained its compatibility with the company’s long-term strategy, which aims to support the country’s business environment while offering them the most innovative tools and solutions in order for them to realize their financial objectives.

Shatara went on to add that the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) has numerous benefits that simplify work for companies, including reducing costs, simplifying work systems, reinforcing security protocols, and safeguarding data and information. Additionally, the system can be deployed from anywhere, ultimately lessening the work load of information technology staff and allowing them to refocus their efforts on development, modernization, applications and software.

Shatara explained that Umniah’s new service features benefits that make it possible to use on more than one location to reduce the possibility of a breakdown in service, delivers support from specialized engineers, gives users control over their information security through one central system, as well as offers high degrees of flexibility. The service is offered with a dedicated account manager and provides the latest in virtual computing technology in cooperation with Citrix.

Customers can deploy the service through their desktops, laptops, a dedicated computer called a thin client, or even a cellular phone or tablet.
