Samsung offers Lebanon best-in-class online learning elearning tools during coronavirus pandemic

Beirut, Lebanon – April 2, 2020:pulation largely unaware of its existence at all. In a short amount of time, what initially began as an isolated occurrence, has transformed into a full-blown global pandemic, affecting nearly all aspects of normal life, especially the education of students all over the world.

Since the spread of COVID-19 within the Levant region, the Lebanese government has taken precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its population by implementing a nation-wide state of “General Mobilization”, effectively locking down most sectors, including all of the 2,943+ private and public schools and universities, and advising people to stay in their homes in order to inhibit the spread of the virus.

With students unable to physically attend classes, education institutions are turning to online learning and eLearning tools, incorporating them into their curriculums, in an effort to make sure students don’t fall behind on their education despite the extenuating circumstances. In fact, recent reports have highlighted the decision of the Lebanese Minister of Education and Higher Education to launch a remote learning program for all school students both on the state’s TV and online, adding to the eLearning systems in effect at renowned private schools.

In the face of the question of how best to facilitate learning from home, Samsung is providing the answer through its wide range of smart devices, including Smartphones and tablets, which have essential features and capabilities that make online learning and eLearning easier and more accessible than ever before.

Samsung’s range of smart devices are designed with advanced specifications and phenomenal features making them the ideal tools to facilitate online and eLearning, while keeping students actively engaged. All Samsung devices feature lightning fast-charging and long-lasting battery capabilities that can easily keep up with a full school day, plus added connectivity enhancements to capture Wi-Fi signals even when not close to a home router. Each smart device boasts large storage capabilities, ideal for keeping assignments, resources and any necessary files, making them the perfect tools for both teachers and students alike.

Beyond the practical enhancements, Samsung smartphones and tablets feature wide screens with crystal-clear display and high resolution through the use of Dynamic AMOLED display technology, achieving excellent color expression, contrast ratio and peak luminance for an enhanced viewing experience. In addition to the ease of mobility, all Samsung smartphones and tablets are thin and light enough for people of all ages to hold for extended working sessions.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the education sector is proving that tough times lead to innovative solutions, and Samsung is proud to help facilitate online learning through its dynamic range of devices, ensuring that, no matter the circumstances, students receive an education that’s best-in-class.
