• Sultan Butti bin Mejren: DLD is one of the first entities to adopt technology and artificial intelligence, and the globally first government entity to implement blockchain technology.

Dubai: Dubai Land Department (DLD) is preparing to showcase its most prominent digital services through its participation in the 41st edition of GITEX Technology Week, one of the largest technology exhibitions in the world being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 17 – 21 October.

DLD will highlight its comprehensive services available on the Dubai REST app that was developed by DLD to be the first digital platform for real estate in the region, granting users an integrated set of real estate digital and paperless procedures. This contributes to strengthening the emirate's position as a global destination for real estate investment by relying on an advanced digital work system. DLD will also be showcasing the digital services available on its website.

At its stand in the exhibition, the department will also provide the 'Update your Data' service to the public, investors and owners, allowing them to update their contact details and personal information to ensure service continuity.

HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, said: “DLD is always keen to present the latest developments in digital technology, especially with regard to the real estate economy with the aim of facilitating customers’ journey and transactions. DLD continues to support efforts towards smart and digital transformation as well as to maintain a high level of quality in providing digital services to society members. Based on this trend, our various work teams are adopting the highest international standards, employing artificial intelligence in service of the real estate sector and its customers, strengthening its position as the world's premier real estate destination and a byword for innovation, trust, and happiness. Our participation at GITEX Technology Week 2021 comes as part of our framework to showcase our digital services, which are now available on the innovative and integrated Dubai REST app, as well as on our website. It also comes as part of our sharing of our experiences with our customers, while simultaneously benefiting from their experiences.”

Bin Mejren added: “The UAE's digital, technical and scientific leadership is at the heart of our wise leadership's vision, which is why it was placed among the 10 'Principles of the 50' announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. We seek to continue our journey towards excellence in completely digitalising our services and keeping pace with the latest technologies in the real estate sector, contributing to achieving these visions and ideas with our partners and building the best economy that will make the UAE the capital of the future economy.”
