DUBAI – Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT), a recognized global enterprise software leader in the management of data across cloud and on-premises environments, will be showcasing its recently launched Metallic Cloud Storage Service at GITEX 2020. The event will take place on 06-10 December at Dubai World Trade Centre and will be the only global technology show to take place live and in-person in 2020.

Commvault will demonstrate the benefits of its new solutions as part of the GITEX Future Stars element of the event. The Metallic Cloud Storage Service is a fully integrated cloud storage target for Commvault Backup and Recovery software and HyperScaleÔ X appliance. Metallic Cloud Storage Service brings together technology from Commvault and Microsoft Azure for security and scale, with single pane of glass management through the Commvault Command Center.

Commvault also recently announced new offerings that provide customers enterprise-grade data protection for Kubernetes, in a consumption model that best meets their needs. The new Metallic VM & Kubernetes Backup solution joins Commvault's Hedvig Distributed Storage Platform and Commvault Complete Data Protection to store, protect, and migrate containers in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

“We are excited to take part in GITEX 2020, which will be one of the first opportunities to meet key stakeholders, customers and partners face to face this year. GITEX has always been an important event in our calendar and this year, we will be focusing on the launch of our new Metallic Cloud Storage Service,” said Wael Mustafa, area vice-president for Middle East, South Africa and Turkey (MESAT) at Commvault. “The solution is built on Microsoft Azure, within Commvault Complete software and HyperScale X can transform the way companies adopt cloud storage with significant ease, while reducing risks, controlling costs, and providing data management and protection in-and-out of the cloud, all through one interface.”

Metallic Cloud Storage Service with Commvault data management software goes beyond simplified cloud data management and reduced overhead to provide critical layered data security and resiliency against an ever-growing number of threats and vulnerabilities in hybrid cloud environments. For example, the FBI’s Cyber Division states the number of complaints about cyberattacks is as many as 4,000 a day, a 400% increase from what they were seeing pre-coronavirus.

Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Commvault has witnessed continued customer engagement in the MESAT region in 2020. There has been an increased appetite for investment in intelligent data management systems as organizations realize the importance of protecting and managing data during this current climate.

Commvault has an extensive customer community across the region, including Dubai Police and Dubai Municipality in UAE, as well as leading players in regional Telco, Finance, Government and Educations sectors including Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and Jeddah University in KSA, Garanti Bank and DenizBank in Turkey as well as Blue Label Telecoms in South Africa.

Commvault will also be hosting channel awards for partners and distributors during GITEX 2020. Commvault continues to make significant additional investments in its partner eco-system across the region, to deliver services to end users. StarLink recently announced a distribution partnership with Commvault for META with plans to empower progressive enterprises to rethink data management. The two companies will jointly collaborate to distribute Commvault’s Enterprise Data Management and SAAS Backup and Recovery product suite and under this agreement, StarLink pledges to deploy its Business Development, Technical and Marketing expertise in building stronger brand awareness and to expand Commvault’s market share.

Commvault will be present in Hall 5 at GITEX 2020.
