Dubai, UAE – Organisations today are faced with the challenge of optimising the connection with people, process and technology, whilst balancing transformation with cost efficiencies. At GITEX Technology Week 2018, Canon demonstrates how businesses can increase both productivity and efficiency through automation to create a significant competitive advantage.

According to the findings of its Office Insights 2018 research, the vast majority of respondents from the Middle East region agree that more automation is inevitable, clearly outlining that this is the direction that the majority of workplaces are headed in. The current extent of automation shows that around 45% of businesses in the Middle East have already automated the processing of at least one type of corporate document, the most common being CVs (38%) and contracts or legal documents (31%). This uptake in automation represents hybrid environments, while not yet fully automated, delivers flexibility for staff and represents progress on the digital transformation journey as new and legacy systems combine to meet the needs of customers today whilst delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Mohamed El Bahrawy, Marketing Manager – B2B, Canon Middle East said: “With information at the heart of every business, automated processing – such as the digitising of paper documents and workflow apps – is becoming more prevalent. As a business enabler, Canon brings future-proof technology and people together by delivering automated business processes as a service among other innovations for the digital workplace of tomorrow. Taking time to understand our clients’ needs, we tailor our approach to each unique business and their individual challenges. Our transformation and change management capabilities are based on insights and validated benchmarks, and utilise methods and tools that have been proven across hundreds of projects, both internationally and locally.”

In the competitive landscape of today, businesses are looking to maximize internal productivity and agility, ultimately resulting in customer success including the enhancement of the functional areas of accounting, financial, field service, supply chain, human resources, and others.  79% of Middle East respondents consider mission-critical workflow apps, such as point of sale systems, CRM and ERP, critical or important while 93% of Middle East respondents use an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, or a similar system designed to efficiently manage information flows across different departments or sites. At the event, Canon demonstrates the standardisation, automation and transformation of the way businesses work with documents and information with innovations in workflows, invoice processing, document digitization and digital HR solutions.

With shifting dynamics in consumer behaviour changing how businesses operate, the way in which organisations build and sell their products and services is also changing quicker than ever before. Visitors to the Canon stand will also be presented with the customisable multi-channel communication and campaign management services by Canon, specifically designed to increase businesses customer loyalty and customer experience, in order to deliver the right services across multiple channels, organisations and internal talent.

At GITEX Technology Week 2018, Canon is demonstrating the future workplace through three experience zones highlighting the customer benefits of digital transformation in security, automation, print, mobile and cloud. Recognizing that wider and better use of social networks, data analytics, and smart technologies are having monumental effects on productivity and expectations, Canon focuses on unlocking additional opportunities for businesses through the creation of secure spaces conducive to collaboration.
