A’Saffa Foods, S.A.O.G., held their annual general meeting (AGM) for the year 2018 on March 31, 2019 at Kempinski Hotel Muscat; their results showcased the company’s ability to maintain an impressive performance.

The company’s financial results were announced by the company’s Chairman, Sheikh. Rashid Saif Mohammed Al Saadi. The chairman dedicated the financial results to the hard-work and dedication of the organisation’s employees across the company’s ever-expanding business units. The total net sales for 2018 reached over RO 31,795,016 million.

A’Saffa Foods, S.A.O.G., the nation’s fastest growing fully integrated poultry and most successful Omani food producers, have acknowledged the contribution of the company’s staff who worked hard to achieve goals that were set to maximise shareholder returns in 2018.

Commenting on the company’s strategic expansion, Sheikh Rashid Saif Mohammed Al Saadi added: “Providing us with a 50 ton feed-mill capacity, our expansion and upgradation will help us process 12,000 birds per hour; helping the company achieve greater efficiency and output. Once operational, the facility will increase our annual slaughtering capacity to 44 million Birds, bringing the company’s capacity to produce 160 tons per day; thereby expanding annual poultry meat production to 42,000 Metric Tonnes.”

Speaking at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM), CEO Eng. Mohammed Suhail Al Shanfari said, “At A‘Saffa Foods, we understand that the focus on operational excellence is vital for the future success of the company – just as the creation of long term value for all the stakeholders while ensuring sustainability in operations is also key. In keeping with this, the company continues to focus on dynamic markets and is committed to improving previous performance records.”

Eng. Mohammed Suhail al Shanfari emphasised that in the year 2018 the company was able to achieve strong financial results. He elaborated, “Through our state-of-the-art highly automated plant - A’Saffa Food Processing LLC, that is located in Rusayl in Muscat, we ensure all value-added processed value products are delivered to our consumers fresh, pure, healthy and tasty. We are also taking major strides towards helping enhance food security as our manufacturing base grows and develops.”

“The year 2018 has been an exceptional year for our Company with strong performance across all dimensions. It has been made all the more memorable with the organisation crossing the RO 31 Million mark in revenue at the end of the financial year. This has been made possible by the sustained performance of our employees, the executive management and the higher management”, the CEO concluded.
