Cairo: ALEXBANK opened its latest branch at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones’ (GAFI) in Alexandria, within the framework of the strong cooperation established between ALEXBANK and the Ministry of Investments an International Cooperation, in particular with the GAFI, aimed at facilitating the Investor’s processes, improving the investment climate in Egypt.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohsen Adel Helmi, the Chairman of GAFI, Dante Campioni, Managing Director & CEO of ALEXBANK and Sherif Lokman, Head of Retail Banking and Small Businesses at ALEXBANK, in addition to a notable number of Egyptian Authorities, the Head of Italian Trade Commission and bank’s Top Management.

Dante Campioni, Managing Director & CEO of ALEXBANK stated: “We are pleased for the continued fruitful cooperation established with the GAFI, further affirmed by the new branch opening that reinforces ALEXBANK’s position in providing incorporation and post-incorporation services to investors approaching the GAFI office, now also in Alexandria. This is added to the already existing ALEXBANK’s branch that encompasses two offices located at the Authority’s headquarter in Cairo, giving us the opportunity to actively contribute to support investments activities in Egypt, which are important to create job opportunities.”

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Mohsen Adel, Chairman of GAFI assured that, in light of the strong partnership between Egypt and Italy, ALEXBANK plays a significant role to drive the growth of the Egyptian economy through several initiatives and taken measures to support development, primarily for entrepreneurs of small and medium enterprises to transfer the Italian experience in this regard. He announced that Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation (MIIC) and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) always seek to support investors to establish new expansions. The new branch of the Bank located in Alexandria Free Zone will further enhance cooperation between GAFI and the Bank to provide more appropriate and effective services for investors and companies in order to attract more investments and create new job opportunities in the Egyptian market.

It is worth noting that ALEXBANK was one of the four bodies that signed with GAFI in 2017 to improve customer service through streamlining all procedures and ensure convenience for investors to access GAFI’s services as well as the provision of digital solutions.
