Abu Dhabi –Dana Gas, a leading gas company based in Sharjah, has purchased 309,495 shares on Monday, 14 October 2019, as part of the buyback programme previously approved by the UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) on 20 May 2019.

The average purchase price of each transaction stood at AED 0.940, Dana Gas said in a statement to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

The purchased shares accounted for 0.00442% of the total subscribed shares, Dana Gas added.

Moreover, the transactions have been implemented through the Egypt-based investment bank EFG Hermes, according to the statement.

The remaining unpurchased shares as per the SCA’s approval amount to around 682.466 million shares, the company revealed.

It is worth noting that Dana Gas had purchased 1 million shares on 13 October 2019 as part of the buy-back programme at a value of AED 0.940 per share.
