The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0945 GMT on Tuesday:
** Prosus NV doubled down on its investment in India with a $4.7 billion deal for payments platform BillDesk, making it one of the biggest players in the country's fast-growing fintech sector.
** French chemical maker Arkema said it had agreed to buy the performance adhesives business of Ashland Global Holdings in a deal valuing the unit at $1.65 billion including debt.
** American hedge fund manager Bill Ackman's Pershing Square is buying an additional 2.9% of Universal Music Group from Vivendi for $1.149 billion, the French conglomerate said.
** Russian internet giant Yandex said it would buy Uber's stakes in their joint foodtech, delivery and self-driving businesses, and increase its stake in a mobility-focused joint venture as part of a $1 billion deal.
** UK renewables investment firm Octopus Group has bought a 180 megawatt wind farm project in Queensland, Australia from Britain's RES, the companies said.
** German property group LEG Immobilien is looking at expanding abroad and would also consider buying flats from Vonovia or Deutsche Wohnen should their merger go through, its CEO told Reuters.
** Australian mining billionaire Andrew Forrest's Wyloo Metals made a revised bid for Canadian nickel miner Noront Resources Ltd that was 27% more than BHP Group, Wyloo said.
** Brazilian insurer SulAmerica said it had made an unsolicited binding offer to acquire up to 100% of shares in medical group HB Saude for as much as 485 million reais ($93.56 million).
** Japan's Kansai Super Market Ltd. said it agreed to a capital and business alliance with H2O Retailing Corp.
** U.S.-based medical technology company Baxter International Inc is nearing a deal to buy medical equipment maker Hill-Rom Holdings Inc for more than $10 billion, a person familiar with the matter said.
