The board of directors of Commercial Bank of Dubai has elected Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami as chairman, the bank said in a bourse filing on Thursday.

During a meeting late Wednesday, the board also elected Saeed Mohamed Al Mansoori as deputy chairman.

Al Qutami first joined the bank’s board in March 2015, bringing with him several years of government experience. He has served on the board of several other government and federation organisations.

He has also held the office of UAE Minister of Education and UAE Minister of Health, among many other high-profile positions, the bank said on its website.
