Cairo –  The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has received a request from Assiut Islamic Trading to delist its shares from the bourse.

Assiut Islamic Trading has asked for delisting 6.68 million shares at a nominal value of EGP 10 apiece as per the board’s decision on 27 April, the EGX said in a statement on Wednesday.

The request will be referred to the listing committee for approval.

In April, the board of directors approved the voluntary delisting of the company’s shares from the EGX.

In March, The EGX announced the execution of a mandatory tender offering (MTO) worth EGP 139.317 million on the shares of Assiut Islamic Trading.
