Muscat: More than one million travellers have travelled through Oman's airports during the first quarter of 2021, with a decrease of more than 70 per cent compared to the same period in 2020.

"The number of passengers travelling through Oman's airports (Muscat International, Salalah, Sohar and Duqm) during the first three months of this year reached 1,003,762, a decrease of 71.9 per cent, according to what was reported by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI)," Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

The number of flight movements through these airports reached 8,191 during the first three months of this year, including 5,865 international flights through airports (Muscat International, Salalah and Sohar), and 2,236 domestic flights through airports (Muscat International, Salalah, Sohar and Duqm).
