Cairo –  The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population signed a protocol of cooperation with Tahya Misr Fund and Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMG Holding) to cover the costs of COVID-19 vaccines for about 2 million citizens.

The CEO and Managing Director of TMG Holding, Talaat Moustafa, said in a statement on Tuesday that the pandemic is one of the major challenges that impacted all countries all over the world.

Earlier, the Egyptian Drug Authority authorised China’s Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use.

Late on Monday, the health ministry reported 961 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 150,753 with 119,212 recoveries and 8,249 deaths.
