MANAMA: A number of Bahrainis stranded in Riyadh due to the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) crisis have returned through King Fahad Causeway, according to the Foreign Ministry.

The evacuation was organised by the Bahraini Embassy in Saudi Arabia in co-ordination with the Foreign and Health ministries.

Bahrain’s Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa affirmed the embassy’s keenness to facilitate the return of Bahraini nationals currently present in Saudi Arabia.

Separately, all Bahraini nationals stranded in Jordan have also been brought back.

The Bahraini Embassy in Amman provided all the basic needs and supplies of the citizens during their stay in Jordan, said the Foreign Ministry.

Bahrain’s Ambassador in Amman Ahmed bin Yusuf Al Rowaie said the embassy continued to support all nationals until their safe return to the kingdom.
