RIYADH — The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has announced that visitors to Riyadh International Book Fair 2021 will be allowed free entry to the venue but they require an online registration.

The international book fair will be held from October 1-10 at the "Riyadh Front”.

Online registration will be linked to Tawakkalna application to confirm the health status and to fulfill the requirements of the Ministry of Health related to the Covid-19 health protocols to ensure the safety of all.

The commission revealed that the Book Fair in its current edition will have the facility for ordering books online through a virtual exhibition prepared for the purpose in coordination with participating publishers. The opening of the virtual platform will coincide with the official launch of the exhibition.

The new service targets those who are interested in purchasing books but areunable to visit the exhibition in person.

Regarding the book signing platforms, the commission explained that certain precautionary measures are imposed as part of the health requirements. The commission has also allocated a service on the electronic platform to reserve slots for book signing.

More than 1,000 publishing houses from 28 countries will participate in the Book Fair in its new edition.
