Ebrahim K. Kanoo, a diversified business conglomerate based in Bahrain, has signed a MoU with the University of Bahrain to support and nurture students and graduates of the University through its Graduate Recruitment and Development Programme.

The Ebrahim K. Kanoo Graduate Recruitment and Development Program is designed to be an extension of the learning journey, with added professional and technical aspects.

The agreement with the University of Bahrain will see this unique programme incorporate students from multiple disciplines across the university in fields such as marketing, engineering, business management and IT.

Under this programme, outstanding Bahraini students in their third year of university would be supported by the company and, upon graduation, get an opportunity to work at one of the many divisions of Ebrahim K. Kanoo, said a statement from the group.

The scheme is also open to fresh graduates with high GPAs to join the company through a job rotation schedule in order to understand every division of the company and see where their individual strengths can be best utilised, it added.

On the key initiative,  Ebrahim K. Kanoo Managing Director Talal Kanoo said: "The University of Bahrain is a vital educational pillar in the kingdom and we are proud to be partners with them on this important programme. This MoU will see our Graduate Recruitment and Development Program benefit more Bahraini students and reach more people in the society."

"We look forward to growing this partnership and furthering our cooperation with the university," he added.

University of Bahrain President Prof Riyad Hamzah said: "In order to contribute to the economic growth of Bahrain, it is critical that the university works closely with the private sector. With this partnership, our students are able to gain valuable work experience, benefit financially and gain employment upon graduation."

"This is a win-win situation for everyone and we are delighted to be supporting EK Kanoo with the best talent in Bahrain," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
