The world’s tallest swing ride will open to visitors in Dubai on Thursday, January 21.

Coinciding with the relaunch of Bollywood Parks Dubai, the city’s latest attraction, the Bollywood Skyflyer, will stand at an exhilarating height of 460 feet.

It narrowly beats out the Orlando StarFlyer, which, until recently, held the top spot at 450-feet tall.

The ride will be just one of nine new action-packed offerings at the theme park. Other attractions include:

> A 55-metre ferris wheel called Wheel of Stars

> An 88-metre rollercoaster called Taxi No. 1, inspired by Mumbai’s famous yellow-black cabs

> Rodeo Ki Sawari, a thrilling family ride with triple spinning action inspired by the traditional Indian Rodeo experience

> Hawa Hawai, a colourful family ride that simulates the sense of flying on a hang glider

> Abraa Ka Dabraa, a mystical swinging Abra ride

> Mansoon Masti, a family attraction that will take riders on a twirling and whirling monsoon adventure

> Tanga No. 13, which will take riders on a magical trip around the Gateway of India in ornately-decorated horse-drawn carriages

> Rocket simulator, a space-shuttle themed tower ride for children
