A Jordanian national is among those infected, while the other 39 are Egyptians. All the newly registered have been in close contact with the previously announced cases.

The fatality includes a 73-year-old Italian citizen, while the other five are Egyptian within the age of 57 years and 78 years from the governorates of Cairo, Damietta, Minya, and Port Said.

This brings the total infected cases until the moment to 576 while the death cases reached 36.
Furthermore, a total 121 individuals recovered and were discharged from the quarantine hospital, out of 161 cases whose lab tests changed to negative from positive.
It is worth noting that the ministry’s spokesman said that two villages in Minya are in isolation and being monitored by the concerned authorities. This is due to several registered cases among their residents.
