The travel of Ethiopian workers to the UAE has been temporarily banned, the UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has notified recruitment agencies. According to the notification, the ban came into effect on December 11.
The ministry warned recruitment offices to not process entry permit applications for Ethiopian workers "until further notice".
Tadbeer centres, a one-stop agency for recruiting domestic employees under government-approved unified costs, confirmed its "full support" to the notification.
