Cairo –   Egypt’s minister of trade and industry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Germany’s Bosch to set up a new factory for home appliances in 10th of Ramadan city.

The new plant will contribute to increasing exports, creating jobs, as well as raising the efficiency and skills of Egyptian labour, the country’s prime minister, Mostafa Madbouly, said in a statement on Monday.

The German home appliances manufacturer will also establish a training and research centre which will achieve developmental goals.

Spanning over 80,000 square metres, Bosch’s first production centre in Egypt will export more than half of its products to the Middle East and Africa.
