Cairo – Egypt exported 172.8 billion cubic feet of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its Idku plant in fiscal year 2018/2019, according to a report released by the state-run Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS).

A total of 45 shipments were exported during the last fiscal year, the report showed.

The North African nation has became self-sufficient in natural gas in September 2018.
