Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has appointed Abdulrahman Saleh Al-Fageeh as the new CEO of the petrochemicals group.
Al-Fageeh was the acting CEO at the company since Yousef Abdullah Al Benyan stepped down in September last year.
Al-Fageeh's appointment will be effective from March 21, 2023, the company said in a regulatory filing on Riyadh's Tadawul exchange on Wednesday.
He is the chairman of SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company and the Nusaned Investment Company. Al-Fageeh is also on the Board of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and board member of Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT).
