Muscat – The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MHUP) is offering 18 sites for usufruct contracts via the Tatwir platform in eight governorates to stimulate the real estate sector and boost investments.

The move aims to achieve the objectives of population and economic growth, while enabling the private sector to attract investments in the governorates to contribute to the development of integrated and sustainable urban communities.

According to an official, the ministry will offer plots measuring between 400sqm and 20,000sqm for usufruct contracts through online auction.

The 18 sites include seven in Muscat, three in Dakhliyah, two each in North Sharqiyah and Buraimi, and one each in South Sharqiyah, Dhahirah, Al Wusta and Dhofar.

Those interested in bidding must register through the electronic system – Tatwir platform – using ID number or commercial register.

The ministry is also offering two sites to set up integrated fuel stations in North Sharqiyah. According to the official, two plots of land, each measuring 15,000sqm, are being offered for integrated fuel ser-vice stations in Ibra and Bidiyah.

“The two stations must include a building for restaurants, main services, restrooms, an electric vehicle charging station, shops, parking lots, a fuel filling station, and a car repair workshop,” the ministry official informed.
