Advertising industry now has a new, more scientific approach to targeting consumers

Enhances the mobile advertising experience on smart phones based on geographic location

Kuwait City: Zain Kuwait, the country's leading mobile network operator, has officially rolled out its 'AdZone' innovative service that was earlier launched on a trial basis in January 2011.

AdZone is the first service of its kind in the Middle East, allowing advertisers to send and customers to receive ads on their smart phones, relevant to and according to where they are geographically located at any one time.  Mobile advertising can be in the form of either alarm messages, SMS, media, video clips .

When visiting popular retail areas in Kuwait such as 360 mall, Al-Bairaq, Al-Manshar, Marina Mall, Souq Sharq, City Center Salmiya, Avenues, Fair Ground, and Kuwait International Airport, Zain customers will receive promotional content from companies and brands in that location. When they move to another AdZone location, the advertising content will change accordingly.

"The launch of AdZone Zain has opened new horizons in mobile phone advertising that will appease both advertisers and customers," said Zain Kuwait's Director for Value-Added Services, Ms Nadia Al-Saif. She added that, "in light of the rapid technological developments in the communication industry, Zain is at the forefront of the current revolution in mobile phone advertising giving greater penetration to brands, products and services."

Al-Saif explained that Zain has taken the mobile phone to a new level, making it virtually a media tool in its own right. She added that Zain would also be working particularly closely with government agencies, universities and cooperatives as well as other sectors seeking to promote themselves and their services through this unique service.
