Yas Island celebrates return of flagship events including Taste of Abu Dhabi, Movies in the Park, Yas Mega Mela and Formula 1™

Abu Dhabi, UAE: Yas Island, the UAE’s leading, all-inclusive leisure and entertainment destination, reveals hot line-up of events for remainder of the year as days and nights in the UAE capital cool down.

Headlining acts touching down on Yas Island from October right through to December will include comedian Trevor Noah, hip hop artist Eminem, American rock band The Killers, singer and song writer Lana Del Rey and superstar Bruno Mars.

Yas Island’s extensive events calendar is jam-packed with concerts, firework displays and carnivals, perfect for quality family time or days and nights out with friends. Calendar highlights include the first-ever Yas Mega Mela alongside the Festival of Lights during Diwali, and the thrilling Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Also making a comeback are all-time crowd favorites, Movies in the Park, bringing The Greatest Showman to life, and the annual Taste of Abu Dhabi, returning bigger and better than before with English reggae and pop band UB40.

Mark your calendars and save the dates! The following events and more will take place during October, November and December of this year:

  • ‘Yas Movies in the Park,’ hosted at du Arena from 17th to 19th October, will bring The Greatest Showman to life as artists from the West End perform their rendition of the movie’s hit soundtrack.
  • Film fanatics will enjoy watching their all-time favorite flicks at “Cinema under the Stars” at Yas Waterworld from 18th October to 1st
  • Hip-hop and rap fans can party with the real slim shady, Eminem, as he takes to the stage on 25th October at the du Arena.
  • South African comedian and The Daily Show star, Trevor Noah is set to make a comeback to Yas Island’s du Forum with his ‘Loud & Clear’ Tour on 25th and 26th
  • Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is set to host its second spooky season with Trickety Treats festivities running from 25th October to 2nd
  • Diwali celebrations will take place at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi from 24th October to 2nd November and cap off at du Arena with the largest Indian lifestyle, culture and Bollywood event in the region, the Yas Mega Mela Festival, from 31st October to 2nd
  • Taste of Abu Dhabi is the definitive showcase of the capital’s best restaurants, top chefs, live music and leading food & drink brands. This year, the 3-day event will be hosted from 7th to 9th November at du Arena.
  • Fans can enjoy the fun filled weekend along with the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand PrixTM 2019 from the 28th of November till the 1st of December. Grammy nominated Travis Scott, singer and song writer Lana Del Rey, DJ Marshmello and American rock band, The Killers, are due to headline the highly anticipated ‘Yasalam After-Race Concerts’ this year.
  • The 48th UAE National Day celebrations will take place on the 2nd of December across all attractions of Yas Island, complete with cultural experiences and, of course, a stunning display of fireworks!
  • Sports fans can enjoy watching the biggest kickboxing event at the du Forum, as ‘Enfusion Live!’ makes its return to Abu Dhabi on 6th
  • Yas Island will feature winter-themed activities to celebrate the Festive season, including the favorite ‘the Winter Carnival’ at Yas Gateway Park South, taking place from 10th to 14th December as well as the ‘Winter Spectacular’ at Warner Bros. Abu Dhabi and the ‘WinterFest’ at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi from 20th December to 4th
  • To wrap up an eventful year and kick-off 2020, Yas Marina will ring in the New Year with an illuminating fireworks display while du Arena welcomes superstar Bruno Mars at spectacular two-day festival ‘’
