All attendees were given a complete tour of the track and paddock, in order to highlight the advanced level of preparations of this amazing new facility scheduled for completion this coming Spring.

The Dubai Autodrome is a multiple use motor sport destination.  Catering for all aspects of the sport. At its heart lies a 5.4km international race circuit designed to meet FIA Class 1 homologation. In addition there will be a 1.2km outdoor international kart racing circuit designed to meet CIK Category A homologation, a 700m air conditioned indoor leisure karting circuit, off road driving courses, a driver handling centre and a motor race academy providing such products as advanced driver training, private circuit hire, vehicle product launches, corporate and leisure driving experiences and, of course, an exciting calendar of local and international motor racing events.

Fundamental to the Autodrome concept is the desire of its owners, Union Properties PJSC, to provide and promote the environment from which a local motor racing and automotive industry can emerge. Moreover, it will provide the destination from which a regional motor racing environment can flourish.

An integral part of the development is a Business Park, which will include a selection of specially designed units and warehouses to cater for the automotive and motor sports industries. In addition, there will be retail showrooms, vehicle dealerships and other exciting commercial facilities to meet the region's needs.

The Dubai Autodrome will become a destination, providing entertainment and leisure facilities for the whole family every day of the year. Permanent restaurant, bar and retail facilities will supplement the exciting motoring experiences on offer.

Saed Khalfan, chairman of the Dubai Autodrome stated 'Today was an exciting and essential seminar for the Dubai Autodrome and the first for our volunteer officials and marshals. Marshalling covers many aspects and disciplines and today was a wonderful opportunity to allow the many new friends of the Autodrome to see what is required at a motor racing event."

He added "Our aim is to provide facilities to the highest international standards and this is reflected by our inviting the BARC whilst giving the motor sport loving community in Dubai a chance to be involved in a truly World Class development."
