UAE: COVID-19 has changed the functional and operational outlook of the restaurant industry. Today, restaurant operators and franchisees are looking at data-backed insights to build efficient operations. From personalized marketing, menu designing to smart kitchen tech, analyzing and implementing strategies based on data is now the new normal of the restaurant industry.

With the help of data & reports from the cloud-based POS systems, restaurants can track their performance and make data-driven decisions to help achieve backend efficiencies. Food Quest Restaurants Management LLC is one of the early adopters of data & analytics to manage their operations.

A restaurant master franchise investor and operator developing leading international F&B brands across MENA, Food Quest’s current brands under its management include Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) and its homegrown brand EETEN. Food Quest also provides management support to Advance Investment LLC for the Denny’s Middle East Master Franchise.

Recently, Food Quest selected POSist cloud-based restaurant technology platform across thirteen outlets of GBK, EETEN and Denny’s in the UAE. The core solution included POSist’s Billing point of sale (POS) software, POSist Stock & Inventory Management software, Kitchen Display System (KDS), Table Ordering software and Integrations with the third-party platform through POSist Marketplace, allowing the chain to improve operational efficiency by monitoring sales and all POS activities in real-time.

Digital Ordering For Hygiene First Service

Using POSist QR Code Ordering guests can scan the QR code through the phone camera and get the food menu. Food Quest has implemented the solution across all of its dine-in outlets. Using QR codes for digital ordering, there is no hassle to install any app; the customer receives their food menu by scanning the QR code and option to place the order within clicks. Customers can place the order directly from their mobile, and the order reflects in the KDS (Kitchen Display System) within seconds.

Streamlining Deliveries With Cloud Kitchens

FoodQuest has invested in setting up a cloud kitchen for Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK). The cloud kitchen business underscores Food Quest’s commitment to providing its guests the comfort to order food anytime and anywhere. Using POSist’s POS cloud-based software integration with Deliverect, Food Quest can centralize delivery and takeout orders, allowing its employees to easily track all orders using POSist KDS (Kitchen Display System).

Better Inventory & Stock Management

Using POSist’s Billing POS and Inventory Management software, Food Quest has added inventory management capabilities and tools to lower operational costs. With access to enterprise-level reporting, the management can consolidate its multi-brand level data in one place, resulting in 20% efficiency by reducing manual data entry and reporting of the store level performance.

“We were looking for a strategic technology partner who could extend the view of our data and enable us to manage our entire operations centrally," says Venkata Pentapati, CFO, Food Quest Restaurants Management LLC. “We now have better control over every piece of our business to operate with higher efficiency and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.”

"Fast-growing restaurant franchises like Food Quest are taking advantage of technology to scale with agility in these times where brands need better control of their operations. We are delighted to serve one of the best in the region with our cloud-based restaurant management platform that will make a difference to its backend and services,” said Ajay Singh, Chief Growth Officer, POSist.
