Leading cleaning and detergent manufacturer Arpal Gulf LLC is set for further expansion across the Middle East following the agreement of a formal partnership in the Sultanate of Oman with Al Ariq Equipment LLC.
Al Ariq was set up in 2003 to provide professional cleaning machines, waste handling systems and bins for municipal contracts and chemical and hygiene solutions. The partnership providing a natural fit for the distribution of Arpal Gulf disinfectant and detergent products across the Sultanate.
Welcoming the new partner deal, John Gavigan, MD of Arpal Gulf said: “The Sultanate of Oman is a fast-growing economy and our partnership with re Al Ariq presents an exciting opportunity for us.
“We have now got a great platform in Oman to expand our regional export business across the Middle East and development of the Omani market from our perspective is 100% in line with our regional expansion strategy. I am delighted that we have managed to secure an agreement with a company of such standing and reputation.”
During recent years, the Sultanate of Oman has grown quickly from an infrastructure perspective as it pursues diversification away from reliance on dwindling oil reserves. By 2024, travel and tourism is forecast to support 116,000 jobs, 8.4 per cent of total employment in the country. The total contribution of travel and tourism to gross domestic product (GDP) is forecast to rise to nearly OMR 4 billion by the same year.
Max Adam, Arpal Group Sales & Marketing Director, recently visited the Sultanate and added: “This new partnership under the guise of Arpal Oman allows us to access the growing local laundry, hospitality and catering sectors with Al Ariq as well as mobilising our own UAE clients’ outlets based in Oman.
“The Omani people have a reputation for their warm welcome and generous hospitality to guests visiting their country. I was personally overawed by the fact the Chairman of Al Ariq welcomed us with open arms, and gave us his personal stamp of approval.”
Arpal Gulf was set up in Dubai in 1996 and now provides a range of bespoke commercial cleaning and disinfection products across the UAE and the Middle East, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arpal Group (RP Adam Ltd) based in Selkirk, UK.
During the past 20 years, Arpal Gulf has expanded in parallel with the spectacular development of the Emirates as a whole, servicing an ever maturing market across all sectors - from leisure to industry and hospitality to health. Using its own team of engineers and field service personnel the company now employs over 40 people from across the local region.
