SSG to showcase its state of the art products and services at ADIPEC 2015
Dubai-UAE - UAE based Safety Services Group (SSG), leaders in lifting equipment engineering and turnkey solutions, have manufactured Det Norske Veritas (DNV) 2.7-1 approved slings for offshore oil and gas industry.
The standards imposed on manufacturers of lifting equipment for the offshore industry are the highest in the world. Det Norske Veritas approval has been introduced to standardize the quality of lifting equipment used by offshore companies. Before DNV 2.7-1 standards were applied individual oil companies had imposed their own requirements but this had proved impractical and costly in terms of inference and implementation. The unified quality assurance has been a major benefit for manufacturers and users of slings and other equipment.
Mohamed Basheer, President, Safety Services Group, said: "The high standards demanded in the manufacturing of slings for offshore requires us to observe stringent measures in order to meet the market needs. DNV complied slings are now easily available within the region substantially reducing procurement cost across the lifting industry."
"With over 36 years in the market, we have established ourselves as the leaders in providing fast and efficient turnover of high end lifting products and services. Our specialist engineers ensure that our processes, technology, and knowledge are optimized to meet leading global standards."
Fabrication of 103 mm flemish eye slings of 60 meters was carried out at Safety Services Group's Dubai facility. The fabrication was witnessed by DNV approved representative and proof load tested in 1000 tons tensile test bed.

Safety Audit Services, Safety Marine Services, Safety Technical Services, Sea Tronics Marine Services, Safety Star Mechanical and Testing Services, Bash-P International are just a few companies under the Safety Services Group that have made an impact locally and internationally.
