The ninth international exhibition for textile, embroidery and sewing machinery and accessories, (ITCE'9), will be held in Egypt from 12-15 May 2005. Organised by ACG & ITE Trade Fairs s.a.e, the leading trade events organiser in the Middle East and Africa, ITCE'9 will take place at the main exhibition venue in Egypt at Cairo Fair Ground in Nasr City, Cairo.
ITCE'9 is a leading international trade fair for the textile industry in the Middle East and North Africa. The fair presents products and services, technologies and innovation, trends and tendencies for trade markets and acts as an international meeting hub for textiles and related industry areas.
"ITCE'9 aims at targeting the opportunities in the MENA that have emerged with the freeing of administrative, regulatory and fiscal constraints, providing investors with easy access to penetrate the regional market of around 330 million consumers. The exhibition will provide access to multinational entrepreneurs and corporate executives to tap this enormous market," said Ahmad Ghozzi, Chairman, ACG & ITE Trade Fairs s.a.e.
Egypt is the centre of the air, sea and road transportation, linking the Middle Eastern and North African Markets, thus obtaining a noticeable and eminent position in the region, constituting it as the essence of these markets. The Egyptian textile industry is one of the most dynamic industrial sectors in Egypt and has been growing at an average rate of over 6.5 per cent annually. Equipped with state of the art machinery, Egyptian textile industry is among the top ten export industries accounting for approximately US$ 700 million, 14 per cent of total exports.
"The textile industry in Egypt is dominated by the public sector holding companies, which own about 90 per cent of all spinning and 60 per cent of all weaving industries. It employs more than half a million Egyptians and is a crucial foreign exchange earner. The exhibition holds great significance for the regional textile industry as the government plans to remove all customs duties on textile machinery by 2005, paving the way for increased investment in the sector," he added.
ITCE 2005 provides an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to display their products ranging from carding and combing machines to dyeing machines and garment manufacturing machinery as well as yarn, raw material and sewing machines. Apart from aiding exhibitors to build a network with peers in the field, it provides a meeting point for new buyers and potential partners.
The previous textile exhibition, ITCE Cairo 2004, witnessed overwhelming response by industry leaders and succeeded in bringing together around 437 companies from across the world to exhibit the latest in textile manufacturing technology and accessories to over 20,000 trade visitors in an effort to boost the US$ 11 billion textile market in the Middle East, GCC and North Africa region.
ACG & ITE Trade Fairs is the largest international exhibitions and conferences organiser in the Middle East based in Egypt. It has been organising international exhibition brands like Plastex, the International exhibition for Plastics & Rubber Industries, ITCE Dubai 2004, and Automech, the biggest 'Vehicles, Buses, Motor Workshops, Automobile Spare Parts and Accessories Exhibition' in the region in addition to some other successful specialized international trade exhibitions.
