Manama: The Minister of Housing and Chairman of the Tender Board H.E. Eng. Basim bin Yacob AlHamer presided over the Tender Board’s weekly meeting today, at which matters related to various government tenders were discussed. Afterwards, the Opening Committee of the Tender Board opened 87 bids related to 16 tenders for 10 purchasing authorities.
One tender was opened for the Ministry of Health which requested Providing Cleaning Services for Batelco Health Center, 13 bids were received for this tender.
For the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism one tender was opened for the provision of a Guard Force for a 3 years period for the Bahrain International Investment Park, 9 bids were received for this tender.
Moreover, two tender was open for the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning (Works Affairs), the first tender was related to the leasing of motor vehicles for the ministry, 4 bids were received. The second tender was for Tubli water pollution control center, 2 bids were received.
Another tender was for Northern Area Municipality, 9 bids were received for maintenance of soft landscaping in gardens and roads in northern Areas.
In addition, one tender was opened for Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) for the outsourcing SAP FICO/ FICA consultant for EWA’s business process section, 5 bids were received for this tender. Two tenders were also opened for the Central Stores Directorate. 5 bids were received for providing steel doors tender; 4 bids were received for the Joint Kit & Termination Kit tender.
Furthermore, two tenders were opened for the Economic Development Board, the first one was regarding sounds and light services for the EDB’s spring of culture 2020, 1 bid was received for this tender and the second tender received 3 bids for getway Gulf Entertainment 2020 tender.
In the oil and gas sector, one tender was opened for Bapco Retail Company regarding outsourcing manpower at service for three years, 8 bids were received for this tender.
In addition, a tender was opened for Tatweer Petroleum for supply of Wellhead System, received 2 bids.
In the aviation sector, one tender was opened for Bahrain airport company, regarding supply and maintain multifunctional photocopier for operational Use for a period of 2 years, 9 bids were received. Two tenders were opened for Gulf air, the first tender for provide comprehensive component pooling support services for A320 aircrafts, 6 bids were received for this tender. The second tender was regarding assign cargo agent in United Kingdom; 5 bids were received.
Finally, one tender was opened for University of Bahrain to provide Nurses for Bahrain University Health Center – collage of Health sciences, for which 2 bids were received.
The tender process was attended by representatives of the bidding companies and companies participating in the tenders. In line with the Tender Board’s guidelines on competitiveness and fairness, the bids will be assessed on all relevant technical and financial criteria before being awarded to the best fit candidate.
