Manama, Bahrain : stc Bahrain, as a world-class digital enabler has renewed its partnership with Etijah Bahrain, for the second edition of its Virtual Summer Internship Program. Since stc’s inception in 2010 over 63,000 hours have been provided that have enabled university students in their final year to attain valuable real-time knowledge and short work experience around their core academic subjects and complete their required credits.
“We are dedicated to fostering the next generation workforce. It is critical to the socio-economic growth of Bahrain where there is a strong investment and focus on building stronger talent for future” commented stc Bahrain’s CHRO, Ms. Sara Khonji: “We are happy to be partnering with Etijah for the second consecutive year to deliver our promise to students. Our aim is to provide a real time corporate experience to these students and support them to choose rewarding careers in future”, She further added.
Managing Director of Etijah Coaching and Consulting, Ms. Dina Shabib, said: “We are extremely pleased to run the stc Summer Internship Program for the second time in Bahrain. We are very fascinated with the quality of interns who range from high school to master students. Last year, the program was a definite success, looking at the value and exposure the interns received last Summer, we humbly offered our partnership again this year and are surely proud to partner with stc Bahrain in this regard”.
The interns will experience a unique journey which stems from their current educational background. Across 8 weeks, each intern will attain a detailed plan encompassing educational material, personalized engagement sessions along with assigned projects and assignments that are specifically made to build key employability skills required for the modern labour market.
Another unique factor in the program is that each intern will attain over 40 hours of one-to-one Coaching and Mentorship sessions with a certified coach.
The partnership is part of stc Bahrain’s Corporate Social obligations to develop and grow Bahrain’s great pool of talent. The Virtual Summer Internship will host 13 students for a period of 8 weeks across a wide skill set area such as Technology, Commercial, HR, Finance, Sales, etc.
