Dubai-UAE: 29 August, 2011 - Sony Ericsson, a global provider of mobile multimedia devices including feature-rich phones, accessories and PC cards, today announced the Middle East launch of XperiaTM mini, a feature-rich and compact smartphone that is built on the success of the original mini-series. The versatile gadget offers complete multimedia applications that enhance the entertainment experience.
The XperiaTM mini provides access to over 250,000 apps on the Android market and has a three-inch scratch-resistant, multi-touch glass screen. The improved user interface allows the display of up to 16 apps on the home screen.
The compact device is empowered by a 1GHz Qualcomm SnapdragonTM processor and runs on Google's Android Gingerbread 2.3. Aesthetically designed, XperiaTM mini integrates best-in-class imaging and display technology from Sony, including Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and HD video recording (720p).

Available at leading electronic stores in the region, XperiaTM mini is priced at AED999 and comes in black and white colors.
