Score Plus - The Princeton Review, a leading provider of test preparation and admissions services, has announced that it will be offering free, full-length SAT and ACT practice tests on June 26, 2010 at its offices throughout the Emirates.
"The aim is to help high school students gain a significant advantage in using scores from their college entrance exams to more effectively compete for admissions as well as scholarships" said Mr. Kamal Kalwani, CEO of Score Plus - The Princeton Review. Administered under actual testing conditions, participants can use the free practice tests to assess their strengths and weaknesses across all subject areas on either the SAT or ACT. Test-takers will also be invited to attend a freeScores Back Session where they will receive personalized, detailed score reports that analyzes their performances section by section. A Princeton Review expert will review and explain the report and demonstrate unique approaches, techniques, and strategies designed to improve scores.
Additionally, if students are unsure about the SAT versus the ACT, they can take a PRA (Princeton Review Assessment) which is designed to help students determine what test is better suited to their abilities as well as which one they'll score higher on.
"There's no question that competition for financial aid, grants and scholarships is increasing dramatically due to the economic crisis and recession," commented Ed Carroll, Executive Director of Research and Development for High School Programs at The Princeton Review. "What's surprising is that despite SAT scores becoming more important in terms of competing for this aid, national scores are dropping. The bottom line is that a lot of students who really need this money can't effectively compete for it because their test scores are not where they need to be."
Taking a practice test is an important part of the preparation process because it removes a lot of the fear, worry, and anxiety that accompanies the actual test. A practice test also provides a measure of how you'll do on the exam and, just as importantly, what you need to and can do to improve your score. To register for The Princeton Review's free National Testing Day email info@score-plus.com with your name and contact details. NOTE: Advance Registration for the FREE tests is required. Seats are limited.
