- 86% of Saudi Arabian venues plan to launch new operations over the next three years
- Saudi Entertainment & Amusement (SEA) Expo & Summit 2021 to help relaunch kingdom’s ‘live’ events season
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – : Saudi Arabia is poised for an influx of leisure and entertainment industry players from around the region as the Kingdom is tipped to become the sector’s leading MENA market by 2025.
The bullish forecast follows a survey commissioned by the organisers of the Saudi Entertainment & Amusement (SEA) Expo & Summit, in which 73% of more than 560 canvassed sector players stated their intention to launch a presence in the Kingdom within the next two years.
The survey, carried out in partnership with GRS Research & Strategy comes as global trade show organizer dmg events gears up for the third edition of the SEA Expo & Summit 2021, which will be one of the Kingdom’s first live and in-person trade events when it runs at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center from September 7-9.
“The survey outlook report, which canvassed the entire spectrum of industry players and investors paints an exceptionally bright future for the sector in Saudi Arabia, with demand for new entertainment opportunities, Government investments, and increasing international tourism seen as the key business drivers,” said Sarkis Kahwajian - Event Director, SEA Expo & Summit.
“The live and in-person SEA Expo & Summit will enable the industry to come together to identify upcoming opportunities, make the necessary contacts to penetrate the market, and build long-lasting business relationships at this extremely crucial time when 62% of MENA industry suppliers expect Saudi Arabia to be their top regional market in terms of revenues by 2025.
“The buoyancy of the Saudi market is driven by the mega entertainment and tourism projects announced for the Kingdom which, when combined, add up to over an unprecedented US$ 64 billion in investment. Also revealing is that 75% of existing venues in the country plan to refit or add new attractions at least annually, 38% already do so more than once a year, and 86% plan to expand and open new venues locally over the next three years.”
The full findings will create the first ‘Voice of the Amusement & Entertainment Industry in Saudi Arabia’ Market outlook Report and will be presented on stage during the summit.
Visitors to the SEA Expo & Summit 2021 will find an action-packed showcase of the latest cutting-edge technological leisure solutions including the RoboThespian – the flagship robot which will entertain guests at the Experience UK Pavilion. Powered by Engineered Art’s unique Tritium operating system, the robot will be out to impress with its diversity of movement, speech, and songs. Visitors will also get to see SEA’s fire-starter – Super FX – a live display of the latest pyrotechnic innovations.
Delegates will also be able to drill down into all aspects of the Saudi Arabian market through a knowledge sharing Summit, boasting more than 30 of the Kingdom’s tourism, entertainment, and leisure leaders from both the public and private sectors.
The impressive list of speakers includes Mohamad Attia, CEO of Sala entertainment; and Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority.
As the event will see live attendance, all health and safety measures and precautions will be strictly enforced according to the guidelines of public health authorities and international health and safety standards. The event is free to attend for trade professionals only, and open daily 7-9 September from 4pm-10pm at Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre. Vaccine certificates are required for entry, and all attendees must register for tickets in advance of attending.
