Dubai (United Arab Emirate): Marine Agency at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) recently took part in Boat, Yachts and Marine Accessories Show held in the French capital Paris.
Engineer Khalid Al Zahid, Director of Marine Projects Dep't at RTA Marine Agency, and Mohammad Al Bastaki, Design Manager at Marine Projects Dep't of RTA Marine Agency attended the Show. In a visit lasted for four days, the delegation reviewed the modern technologies in the field of marine accessories and the latest additions in boats and yachts industry.
Engineer Khalid Al Zahid said that Paris Boats & Marine Accessories Show is one of the biggest specialized expos in the field of marine industry in Europe in particular and the rest of the world in general. "All visitors attach great importance to this Expo as it showcases the modern technology to assist the process of upgrading marine accessories and keep abreast of the latest development in the marine industry. The Marine Agency is naturally seeking to introduce the latest and excellent technologies in the marine industry so as to provide excellent services at top quality standards targeting all segments of Dubai community" said Al Zahid.
"The visit has multiple objectives including identifying the largest global companies specialized in boat building and accessories, particularly noting that the Agency is ushering a new era of boats, which had been over a quarter of a century and are still, a means of transporting passengers between the two banks of Dubai Creek. The Marine Agency delegation reviewed the highly sophisticated technologies in this field such as fiber glass and wooden materials used in boat building, as well as interior decors which add aesthetic and decorative appearance matching to the prosperity of marine transport. The delegation was also acquainted with the sound effects, as well as state-of-the-art & internationally accredited systems & technologies used in suppressing noise levels" added Al Zahid.
He pointed out that they screened the latest technologies applied in marine turbines and reviewed modern materials used in boat manufacturing at the leading companies worldwide; a matter which will assist in building a strong base of marine transport process. Among the key objectives sought by the delegation in this Show was to identify world-class designers of considerable experience in boat design, as we have a lot to reveal in boat designing over the next years so that we can provide optimum services to marine transport users in Dubai.
Al Zahid concluded his statement by saying that the delegation reviewed the latest development in the field of navigation system, new services provided at marinas such as water & electricity, and highly sophisticated hydraulic boat boarding ramps.
