Al Tayer: We are fully prepared for fourth generation system

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently hosted a team of the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) to an induction lecture highlighting the procedure for the immediate implementation of the Fourth Generation of the Government Excellence System intended to uplift the government performance.
HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA reiterated the preparedness of RTA for the implementation of the fourth generation of government excellence system enabling the ranking of the Dubai Government Number One worldwide, as intended by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
"We've learned from the UAE leadership that ambitions are limitless, the word impossible is not part of our calculations, and ambitions can best be achieved through concerted team efforts. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum believes that core challenges over the next two decades will revolve around who can go farther in uplifting the performance level, and keeping abreast of successive developments in all fields. Overcoming such challenges also rests on the implementation of new & creative administrative concepts built on competitiveness in the delivery of services, achievement of happiness to people, promoting innovation & creativity, unleashing skills & capabilities, serving the business community, nurturing a favorable investment climate, supporting the private sector and encouraging free enterprise.
Attended the induction workshop were Dr. Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator General of the DGEP, Mr. Nasir Abu Shehab, Acting CEO of RTA's Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector, and a number of senior officials from both sides. During the lecture, the DGEP team reviewed the objectives and the process of the immediate implementation of the Fourth Generation of Government Excellence System, which aims to improve the government performance based on innovative standards geared towards the implementation of the Dubai Plan 2021. It focuses on the results achieved as they set the base for excellence in government performance and services under three key drivers namely, the realization of the vision, innovation, and enablers, in a way that achieves the highest rates of public satisfaction and happiness.
Dr. Nusairat praised RTA's keenness to promote the culture of excellence, and encourage employees to unleash their creative energies. He also lauded the prompt response of RTA to implement the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as regards adopting the Fourth Generation of Government Excellence System, and striving to uplift the performance in order to achieve the highest standards of quality and sustainable excellence. "RTA is one of the biggest government entities that keep pace with the latest performance-enhancing developments towards maintaining the standing of Dubai," he said.
"RTA boasts of strategic systems and plans which are always aligned with the objectives and goals of our prudent government. Hosting the team of the Dubai Government Excellence Program reflects RTA's keenness to meet the aspirations of Dubai Government, through contributing effectively to all initiatives. Hosting this induction lecture about the direct implementation mechanism of the 4th Generation of Government Excellence System epitomizes the keenness to rank Dubai emirate at the highest levels globally by adding to the happiness and satisfaction of people with the excellent government performance, and the delivery of quality & innovative services befitting the profile of Dubai amongst top cosmopolitan cities," said Nasir Abu Shehab.
The 4th Generation of Government Excellence System is the first of its kind designed to upgrade government performance, which addresses the differences and privacy in the job nature of each entity. It also focuses on the results achieved by such entities according to their relevant roles assigned to it in implementing the national agenda, in a way that creates a competitive edge for the UAE and the relevant implementing government entity.
